Hickox Equestrian Stables is run as a Full-Care boarding facility. We have an 8 stall barn with 12x12 stalls. Each stall has a connected covered run with a shared water trough in each run. All stalls contain water buckets and may have a hanging feed bucket installed as well as a salt lick to promote hydration, especially in the Texas summer. The horses are fed grain twice daily along with coastal Bermuda hay up to 5 times daily. The horses remain in turnout all day unless there are conflicting conditions (stall rest, inclement weather). Cleanliness is a big priority for the stables, so with such, the stalls are cleaned daily and water buckets are constantly checked and cleaned to reduce health risks.
